Thai Language & Culture

In Thai class, children learn Thai language and culture through meaningful activities, games, stories and songs. The children learn to recognize the Thai alphabets, sounds and Thai numbers. The children have the opportunity to practice dot writing of the Thai alphabets and single words. The children also communicate with short conversations and questions about themes such as school and the people in school, living things, food and toys.

Thai class also offers the opportunity for children to explore cultural aspects of the home country, including celebrations, values, and traditions. Native Thai speakers are challenged with a deeper exploration of reading and writing strategies in Thai.
